UNESCO Creative City of Design

 

Kolding was designated as a UNESCO Creative City of Design in 2017 becoming the first UCCN-member in Denmark. Design is an authentic strength of Kolding dating back to the time when a king and queen resided in the city’s castle. 

In modern times Kolding has witnessed the growth of a unique design ecosystem spanning public administration, businesses, NGOs, educational and cultural institutions. Today design thinking is practiced across this ecosystem and integrated into how we collaborate and innovate.
